Friday Faves

Unfortunately, for the second week in a row, I have forgotten Friday Faves. It's not that I don't like Friday Faves. I thought I would be doing interesting things since the semester ended. For the record, I'm doing interesting things, just nothing worth sharing or nothing I have pictures of. I promise next week we will return to normal Friday Faves but as of this week, here's the youtube hole I fell down.

1. Kissing Your Face: What Women Really Think
Kissing you is like making out with a yeti. If I wanted that, I'd put peanut butter on my face and sleep alone in the woods.

2. Drunk Explanations
Multiple people asked me to describe the taste of water. How about wet? Does wet suffice?

3. Joss Whedon Fights a One-Eyed Monster in "Scary Smash" - Written By A Kid Ep. 1
Besides the obviously amazing stars of this video, look out for cameos by Rhett, Link, and Felicia Day.

4. Convos With My 2 Year Old - Episode 1
I like how the mom sides with the 2-year-old. She has priorities.

5. Dancing With An iPod In Public- Wake Me Up (Before You Go Go)
Check out the woman at 0:36. And mad props to everyone who dances along. That's what I would do.

Friday Faves

OK, so it's not Friday and this is not a list of my favorites from the week because it's been a long week and honestly, it doesn't feel right trying to come up with a few little moments to make this week make sense and rationalize everything that is going on in my life. Instead, here's a list of the 5 songs I've had on repeat on my IPod this week. Sometimes music just makes everything better and even when it doesn't, it brings me peace for a few moments. Life is confusing these days and I don't know what the days ahead hold for me but I know that now more than ever, I need to remember that goals are just road maps to where you want to be in life but they aren't the only way to get there.

1. Gary Allen- Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)

2. Rascal Flatts- Unstoppable

3. Grey's Anatomy Cast- Grace

4. Clay Walker- She Won't Be Lonely Long

5. Eric Church- Hell On The Heart

Friday Faves

It's been a really long week. Friday did not get here fast enough.

1. Weekend at Home
I went home for the weekend to spend some time with Liam, get my car all fixed up (valve stem on a tire replaced, headlights replaced, oil change, vacuumed out, and windows washed), and see Grandpa for his 84th birthday! I got to go with Liam for his 18 month pictures and I even got to be in a few. I can't wait to see them. Another great Sunday Funday was spent with coconut cake and teaching Liam to give kisses.

2. Productivity
I was on a role this week. I got a whole lot of homework done. It was insane! I'm so proud of myself.

3. Sorority Spa Night
We had a spa night social with the lovely ladies of Delta Phi Lambda.  We painted nails and laughed hysterically at the sister who got conned into a face masque. It was a blast!

4. German History Class
I've been having so much fun in my German history class! Sometimes it's really sad but mostly it's really interesting and I could sit through that class every night this week.

5. Thrift Shop
I don't know why I love this song but I do. I've listened to it a million times in the last two weeks.

Friday Faves

It's just been one of those weeks.

1. Good Mythical Morning
Do you know Rhett and Link? Because you really should. They do awesome videos like "Dope Zebra" and "Rub Some Bacon On It". But they also do this cool little show every day. And I'm a tiny bit obsessed. They talk about some cool stuff and they always make me laugh. So you definitely need to go check them out.

2. McDonald's
Makes everything all better. And shamrock shakes are da bomb.

3. Liam's Easter Mail
I wish I could show you but this time I will make it a surprise for Jessica. Needless to say, it is the coolest gift ever.

4. Lemon Basil Pasta
Get ready for this post because I am obsessed. Too dang good.

5. Suit Up Night
Yeah, I was the only girl there. Because no one can hang like a bro like me.

Friday Faves

Happy February y'all. It has been a long week here in the arctic. In the past two weeks, we've gotten over two feet of snow. Spring has six weeks to get here or I will be packing a bag and living on the beach in Florida.

1. Mint
I am so happy mint is every where this year. I have always loved mint and I've had mint polish for a long time but I had so many beautiful options for a mint dress for my Valentine's date with Luke. I am so excited for it to get here. Plus I always have a blast online shopping with Jessica.

2. Dinner with Emily
Little love and I had dinner on Sunday night and it was so nice to catch up with her. I just love her. I made her that cute little headband so look forward to that post.

3. Valentine's Day
Luke and I got our Valentine's Day plans squared away since his work will be sending him to teach a couple of classes up north for a couple of days over February 14. By the way, do you know how many times that boy actually asked me what the date of Valentine's Day is? Seriously. But anyways, I am so excited because he let me have a choice and my Valentine's Day gift is a day trip to Chicago together over spring break in March. I am super excited about that! He doesn't know it yet but we are so going into the Vera Bradley store on Michigan Ave. :)

4. The SpeakEZ Lounge
Luke took me to this super cute bar last night and I think this may have to be a regular thing for me to bug him about. It was so small and out of the way. Their staff is so nice and it feels exactly what a speakeasy should feel like. And they have a delicious moscato.

5. This Song
If I can't be Felicia Day, can we at least be BFFs?
